History Our business started in the Columbia area with a desire to meet the custom design/build needs of the residents in central South Carolina.  Most of our clients result from repeat and referral business. We have served clients in surrounding cities like: Forest Acres, West Columbia, Columbia, Sumter, Lexington, S. Congaree, Florence, Irmo, Horrel Hill, Hopkins, Eastover, and Lugoff. We have also travelled as far as Western North Carolina to meet the special needs of our clients. Johnston—Owner As a licensed home builder and home inspector, Jeff is knowledgeable of all phases of construction.  Always involved from start to finish on every project, Jeff brings his experience and knowledge along with a determination to provide first rate customer care.  Even though Jeff has been confined to a wheelchair (for 13 years due to muscular dystrophy), he still takes a hands-on approach to each job.  On most days you will find Jeff working beside his crew.  Whether running a saw, framing walls, plumbing, electrical work, even laying tile, Jeff is usually in the lead making sure you get what you asked for.  As difficult as all building projects can be, Jeff focuses on making your project a pleasant experience for you.  If we build your project, we have a job.  If we serve your needs, we have a career. Flores—Office Manager A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Sarah brings her strengths of organization and attention to detail to our team.  In addition to maintaining our records, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, Sarah also assists in design, decorating and finding the perfect touches for your dream.  Garfield Knott—Crew Manager As a hands-on crew leader, Garfield makes sure every crew member knows the scope of the project and his responsibility to its completion.  Always found with a smile on his face, Garfield is especially attentive to client care, meeting client needs and taking care of your property at all times.  You’ll never meet a more pleasant person. Adam Curado—Electrical Coordinator Experienced in both commercial and residential electrical service, Adam coordinates all major electrical repairs, additions or changes.  He is an important member of our team and is always concerned with client service and quality electrical work. Jeff Johnston received EPA reference training in LEAD PAINT AND LEAD—the training consisted of specific awareness of lead paint and lead renovation, repair and painting rules. Jeff Johnston completed training in Air Quality Control a safe approach to mold & mildew recognition, treatment and removal.  Jeff Johnston completed the course Building Performance for remodeling contractor’s and custom homebuilders. This training focused on the intricacies of how buildings function as a system and how it is possible to build or remodel any building to a higher standard by paying attention to air flow, temperatures and moisture inside the building.
